Default Powder river in spring

Does anyone here have any tips on fishing brownlee in late april. I plan on going up there in the last week of april. I have been up there 6 times but it is always in august or september. Is it worthwhile going then. I always fish for all the species up there. I will be in a boat. Last time I went there in july and fishing was mediocre.

I fish Brownlee during April your avg crappie and bass would be much larger. I fish it from the bank though with a stick bobber and two 1/16 oz crappie jig is about all you need. Try fishing the steep deep banks around points with about 6 ft leader you'll pick up real big crappies. Make sure you bring some 1 1/2 inch black and charteuse skirts the smallmouths seem to like em I mean big smallmouths 3 to 5 lb fish will hammer them.

Does anyone know if the water will be high enough to launch a boat?
