Default My Sat. Sandy Report (pic)

I got a late start again. Was hoping the water would drop before I got there. I crossed at 11.2 and it was ok. I was the only one on this side of the island though. I should of stayed on the creek side. For once there was a better drift on the creek side. I saw about seven fish caught on that side. Was slow for me It took me 40 minutes to hook my first fish. I went 1 for 3 today and hope that tomorrow is better for me. The two other fish I had up to the bank but lost them. They started spinning and busted the line.

Here comes dinner

Jack and coke to give it that touch!!!

Very nice fish.
But what kind of who what where and why main line???
Was that bobber line?
Correct me anyone if I am wrong, but that may be too much for 8# leader unless you are a gentle lifter with a noodle rod.
I have stuck with drifting 12# mainline for most applications(driftfishing)and have never had problems. If your 8# leader broke, I would assume, but I may be wrong, that the tension on the braided line had no give when they wound up and therefore, POP!
I use 15# power pro on my bobber rods w/Maxima leader, but stick to mono for drifting, and use 60# TUFF for trolling w/ 30# Maxima leader. Lift the rod, don't yank.
But what a nice fish you got anyhow, congrats!

I'll be there tomorrow with a couple buddies of mine. Black hooded sweatshirt and a blue baseball cap. Stop and say hi if you see me. Oh and you can also identify me by the chromer hanging in the tree behind me.
