Default Boat car port

Since my toy has to stay outside I feel the need to put a roof over it. After checking the options for a permanent car port, lean too, etc money and zoning raise thier ugly heads. Can any of youse guys (gals) advise me on the tarp type gable end with pipe supports? The toy needs 9' Ht. and 25-30' Lgth. I figure the sports show should have some info. also. Thanks !!

Hi Dogrobber,

I heard that Costco has had them. I'm not so sure they would carry one long enough. I heard they were $169.00 for them at Costco. I had also seen them selling them on E-bay. I know that a few of the awning companies here make them too.

Hey dogrobber, yep Costco does have them and they are 169.99.They are 10 x 20 with a back.Friend of mine mounted the post in 5 gal. buckets with concrete in them and it worked just fine to get his 21 ft.NR under and out of the rain.

Costco is your best bet. Call your local store, get the members/return counter and ask them to check on item #421011. This is the 10'x 20' canopy with front, back, and sides. They are indeed $169. They go very fast. I was in line for 15 min before they opened and literaly raced a couple of guys to them. They sold all 35 in less than 45 min. They are that good of a deal!

I had this same problem a few months back. The canopies at Costco will not be big enough for what you need. GI Joes no longer carries the 11x25 and either does anyone else in the local area that I could find. You can order it online from Northern Tool Company. Go to the site and search Larin 11x25 canopy. They run about $529. Much better quality tarp and heavy duty poles. I went to Home Depot and got several 70lb. bags of sand to offset the wind gusts.
Good Luck.
Also remember this, the carport must be 20' from the front property line and 5' from the sides and back line. I learned this from a friendly letter from the County
