Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Hello....
Nice Rain, Huh???
Wanted to let you know, that this Monday Night on Channel 11, 9:00 PM, Gizmo Man & I made a show last month "Boondogging" on the Cowlitz River with Guide Scott Aldrich. We managed multiple hook-ups, (Well..Giz did), utilizing this popular method for Winter Steelhead. This show will be aired throughout Portland on AT&T Cable.
The Show will also air in Vancouver, beginning Monday Night, Channel 11 at 6:30 PM, and will run for a few days thereafter.
In Salem, the show will be airing on Friday Night at 8:00 PM, Channel 22.
Be sure to check the Website for more details, dates & times.
Thanks for watching!
Scott

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Scott - Is this show on tonight, or Tuesday night? As I am in Portland and usually see your show on Tuesdays. Dont want to miss Geezer Man pulling on the surgical tubing, like Larry use to do on FTW.

That might interfere with my THORNBIRDS on LOVE STORY CHANNEL, But I might have to miss that episode tonight so I can see Geezer man do what he is good at (nothing)

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Nice show Gizmo, those were some pretty nice looking fish you all caught. I couldn't believe all the boat traffic, I have never seen so many people. Were all the other boats catching as many fish as you guys, or was your guide the "Ringer?" Thanks for the great show, keep up the good work.

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Thanks Guys!
There is no question, that running the boat, in order to make sure ALL of the lines are running at the same speed & depth, is THE toughest part of Side-drifting, especially when you have the Boat Traffic like the Cowlitz does. Backing the boat Down, and fishing at the same time, does take some practice.
Talk Soon,
Scott

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Nice show tonight Scott.
I see smurf hands actually landed a fish, I wonder if he hooked it, or took a hand off
My wife said it was a great show right up to the end when Scott relieved himself of excess saliva.  God I miss Copenhagen. :depressed: It has been 10 years and 28 days without a dip

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Eggo: you better watch and learn... there won't be any doctored photos here. The proof will be for all to see and no "surgical tubing is not included".
And FC,I see your shots at me, but, I have been laying off you...cause you know as a girl, you probably can't take it...

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Scott, you can have all you want as long as I get to smell the can. It is one of those things I know I can not do casually. It either has its hooks in you, or it doesnt.
I chewed a can a day for 10 years, I sure miss it. Got married and the Cope got left behind in single days. Yes, the wife put her foot down on that one. :depressed: My vote didnt count, and some things seem to lose all reasoning with wifes.
If I had what I spent all those years I could outfit a nice new boat today.

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
Broken record here - nice show! I watched it for the first time last night - excellent. I had to choose between the Discovery channel Blue Planet show (a series of 4 or more hour long shows) that have just unbelievable photography, or The Hot Tamale show -- your show won over for at least that half hour.
It was nice to not see a bunch of staged hook-ups like on other shows, and I also liked the Cope spit. The guide Scott's opinion regarding bare pencil weight vs. slinkies could probably start a small war on this BB if brought up!
Wow - those were some crowds!
Look forward to the next show.
Pete

Re: Cowlitz Boondogging - Hot Tamale Show This Monday
I want to add my thanks to Scott A for taking the time to do the show. He is a fun guy to fish with and anyone wanting a fun trip on the Cow or the other rivers he fishes should contact him.
And for Scott K. what a great job of editing...we caught many fish and with only 1/2 hr. to show it, you where able to depicte the whole day in that 1/2 hr. Maybe we should have part 2 next week...
