You can look up the info under Eagle Claw also. Eagle Claw and Wright/McGill are same same.

I assume it is a yellow rod, but is it graphite or fiberglass and how long?

It's an old time classic rod and probably worth the better part of two dollars.

those old heavy Eagle Claw rods have sentimental value mostly. Your rod is likely a 7-8wt at that length. EC has made the Featherlight(I think that is the name) for many years but it is a much shorter rod.

So true. My girl lost the fly rod my grandpa and dad taught me to fish on up bushwhacking in Yosemite a few years back Fell right off her pack

well i wasnt really looking what its worth. just a little more info on it. thanks for the info guys. its been a little beat up and re wrapped. not the best. i took it out today on haystack and tossed it around for a while. ive never actually went fly fishing but ive been practicing in my yard with a different rod and this rod did just as well. took a little more oomph to get it off the water then the grass though . i might just have to take it over to the crooked river or the upper deschutes around steelhead falls here in a couple days. again thanks for the heads up about the rod. im no fly fishing guru but from what i can tell, it still works

Good luck NS,and have fun with your new toy.

If you haven't done this already, take your rods to a good flyshop and have the 'true' line weights determined. Just because the mfgr 'says' it's a 7, doesn't mean it's necessarily true. You'll be a much better caster with properly matched equipment.
