Default Springers

When and where on the Columbia is a good place to catch a fine springer? Fishing from a boat.
About three weeks ago a friend and I went steelhead fishing on the Sandy, it was his 2nd time steelhead fishing. He's got the gift cause he caught 2 keepers, I got one keeper and had to turn one native back.

to all new steelheaders ,,, when in dout set the hook.

Plenty of boats fishing from the deadline, down below Bonneville in April. Plenty of fish being caught. I was playing bank maggot at Tanner Creek. Combat fishing at its finest at the time.

And DAB welcome to the board. I want in at least one of these springer trips. PLEEEEESE!
Ohh i got some walleye plugs yesterday day so we need to see if we can catch a few of them this year to. and a smallmouth bigger then that last one i got from your boat.

Drop your hook about 30 feet out and 150 yards above the last piling. Drop back till you have 22 feet under transom. Absolutely a killer spot.

fishbait, with the snow pack we got in the mountains the Columbia will be much higher this year, were you were once fishing in 22 feet of water it will be 32 feet deep
