I haven't heard much about clamming in Oregon. In November my wife and I went clamming at Long beach, Wa. Figure about 45 minutes from Astoria.

We got our limits two evenings in a row with no problem. We may be going back real soon especially if the low tides are in daylight.

Good luck.

Hello,
I have been on the Washington Fish and Wildlife website today and I know tht razor clamming is not open until 1-29-02. I have heard that clam digging on the north coast, Seaside and fort stevens has been ok. good luck.

Kevin.

My family has been digging the low tides at Seaside Gearhart lately and doing good. Easy limits is what they tell me.

I never knew yo could clam in Oregon I thought only in Wa. I have never been razor claming. I have raked for cockle & steamers @ Tillamook but never for razors. I love razors.

I thought we should have another floatilla like a Clamilla (Hope this isn't a VD Virus or something) Sounds like one. Everyone get together in Long Beach for a clamming day. Have a giant clam fry afterwards. and give away prizes like we did @ Busters. But on the beach or maybe a campground or something.
Sounds like a plan to me.

Yes & thanks everyone for a reply! I am targeting to be either at Long Beach or Seaside. Or Just in case near Nehalem (steelhead) for the varnish clams and possibly crab from the Jetty.
Why so these blended family things have to be so complicated?

Oh I love clams more than Homer Simpson loves anything.
