What to wear?
So a topic I need some opinions on is about wearing colors when river/stream fishing, especially when it gets hot out. Not so much lakes or big rivers, I'm talking about smaller clearwater streams like Fall River near Bend. Nice to wear white or light stuff when it's hot. Do you purposely chose drab blend-in colors, even if you really think it doesn't make a real difference? Anyone think going camo matters?

Re: What to wear?
You always want to be as sneaky as possible, and that includes blending in with your surroundings and trying to stay in the shade. If the riparian is full of trees and bush then wear green/camo, if you're on the flats then you should wear white and blue (depending on the skys colors). Just match the backdrop to avoid detection, it really does make a difference on clearer waters.

Re: What to wear?
I think being sneaky on small creeks and rivers in the summer is key. I also think that white is a bad color to wear because a fish's predators are usually white birds. (Ospreys, Bald Eagles) Not sure if there is any truth behind that but I just try to wear green, greys, and brown clothes on small rivers/creeks.

Haven't you heard about fishing camouflage from Aqua Design?

Re: What to wear?
Columbia Sportswear has some nice fishing shirts that are natural colored, SPF 30+, have large chest pockets and are very breathable. I find they work great in the summer. Check out any of the Columbia Outlet stores, they almost always have a few to choose from, and are usually $15-20.

Re: What to wear?
I always try to wear something that blends in. Trout are very weary of anything bright; and Steelhead are just big trout. If you get the chance, go to any clear river and watch the trout; then move to the edge and watch them take off. I've always considered fishing the same way. No bright anything; even my lucky orange hunting hat stays home. This was a tough one!

I prefer orange. Helps avoid getting run over by a jetboater.

Re: What to wear?
I go for what will look best in my hero shot.
Fish, much like women, are attracted to a well dressed angler.
That is why I catch way more fish then my brother Nookslayer
