Re: Kunnan Rods
My dad has some that we use for sturgeon they might be 6' IMO I think they are a great rod. You can yank a 40# anchor off the ground with them. .....Ross
Also I think they were first made in California

Re: Kunnan Rods
I thought they were made in California, also. In fact, I remember a buddy mentioning that the factory in So Cal had burned down. That was at least 10 foggy years ago. IMHO, good rods. We used them to live bait stripers and halibuts in San Francisco Bay and to side drift on the Rogue.

Re: Kunnan Rods
I have one that I bought in Florida. It had a lifetime warranty until the factory burned down. It is a 1-piece, 7'6" quality, versatile rod that I use for salmon and sturgeon (previously for snook and tarpon). It's taken a lot of abuse and has held up well.

Re: Kunnan Rods
I believe Mono is right in that they were made overseas.
They were a medium price point rod of medium quality. I have one of their backbouncers.
Kunnan was and may still be one of the larger manufacturers of gold club shafts and got into the rod business as a sideline. They stayed in a couple of years and exited.

Re: Kunnan Rods
Yes their plant burnt down in Cali a while back. Great inexpensive rods though.

Re: Kunnan Rods
I don't care where they were made, but i'd put them up against just about anything. Great Rods.

Re: Kunnan Rods
I had an 8'6" that I fished with for years. Caught a lot of fish with it. I broke the tip twice (my fault) and Larry's replaced the rod, no questions asked, both times. Maybe they went out of business because I was costing them too much money . Anyway, snapped the third shaft off just above the joint, trying to horse free from a snag. Someday, I hope to find a replacement top half, because I love the rod. Great feel.
