you might not like it but, "SPIT"

dish soap. put one or two drops on a paper towel and rub it on it will streek but it goes away in a minut been doin ths long befor rain X and it works much better and cheaper.

"Rain-X" has some good products. When I lived over on the wet side, I used them all the time. Raindrops streamed off the windshield and their anti-fog worked just as well.
