Default My first February smallmouth bass today

I got out today. I was trying some New fishing spots on the willy. I got three bites and landed this one!

The bass fell for a texas rig senko. Chart and orange. The bass was out of the current and in 7 feet of water. I was fishing from shore.

Right now is a great time to just get outside and look for new spots.

get a river chart, pick out a few spots you want to try this spring. If you want to catch a fish try dragging a football head or dropshot where there's a big drop off into deep water.

Roger I'm suprised that fish was only in 7ft of water.....granted our River temps in Tri Cities are still in the upper 30's, so maybe thats a factor.

GET OUT THERE AND CURE THE FEVER!

That's what I was thinking....I saw the post and thought....where the hell did he find sun "yesterday"!?! Then I saw that this was posted Monday.

I forgot my gear at home last week....Wednesday I think....when it was really warm and almost shorts temps. Needless to say, the trunk is packed with what I need for lunch breaks now.
