Siletz River Gorge

Hi, new to Ifish. Been 15 years since I fished for steelies. Started again, having a ball, what a year to start again.

Fished the Siletz in the past above Moonshine. And wondering how is the upper river now, when are the runs and does GP lock the gates during the week? I heard that GP did in the past due to vandles.

Well Randy, the fish are in. I have fished from moonshine down this year and have had action each trip. I would be very interested in what kind of fishing is avalible above moonshine. Years ago I came through Valsetz and fished at the junction of the north and south Siletz. Haven't been up there for years. Keep in touch.

I noticed that you are from Sherwood. I am also from Sherwood and would like to fish the Siletz.
I have the boat so if you would like to drift it sometime let me know.

My folks are from "the Wood" as well. They live near the base of Ladd Hill. I am usually up that way fishing with my dad. However, I brought my boat down to Corvallis this past weekend to concentrate on the Siletz. If you have any questions about the river, feel free to email me.
