By "Snubber" I also meant to include Bungees.

I use them trolling for trout and kokane and have good results. I seem to have more fish stay on with a snubber.

I watched a boat down by the astoria bridge in the summer that was using them and they were putting more fish in there boat than anyone else was. I'm going to try them this year.

i'm sure you'll get several opinions here - but i'm not sure i see the use for them up here. I used them at B10 and found them effective, but thats a whole differnt fishery. I used them to absorb the shock of the fish.... because those rods are already so loaded up w/ the diver and flooding tide... and the drags are set tight to keep from losing line w/ the diver/tide combo.

as well i often had guests on the boat that had trouble getting the drag losend up after hooking a fish and that bungy gave me time to get them situated for fighting the fish.

Here your rod's not loaded up, so it can provide the cushion and you can keep your drag lose w/ out having to worry about losing line.

but.... i'm sure there will be others with something different to say.

Default Snubber Question?

How many of you have tried these and with what results?
Do you only use them with baits?
What about plugs?
