live report crescent lake
We have tried for browns since 7am. Lost one that broke me off. Been trolling 4 rods. Now going after macks. Only boat on the lake.

My fishing partner caught a 14# mack & I just caught a 9#. Still the only boat on the water.

It is snowing now. Mid 30. Water temp is 38.9. I just caught another mackinaw 16# and 32 inches long

Nice job on the Macs  , keep us posted on the take out. We had problems last week and almost didn't get out. I am hoping to make it there next weekend.

Back to trolling for browns til dark. My fishing partner caught a twin to my 16# mack. Will let you know tomorrow if we have problems taking out. I have photo's in my gallery but I can't copy and paste from my phone

Jimmy and I have been trading texts all day yesterday. He asked me to update everyone with his pics. The first (3) are showing the conditions at the lake yesterday AM. Little snowy, but still awesome!
The next one is of a 16# mack with Jimmy doing his very typcial "Jimmy" pose.
Now, the final pic from yesterday. Something that has been rarely seen by any of us. Is that? Could it BE!?!?!?! OMG, it is!!! JIMMY LEWIS IS SMILING WHILE HOLDING A FISH!!!! It's official folks, hell has now officialy frozen over!  Sorry Jimmy, I couldn't resist!
Great job Jimmy and Bret, stick a pig brown today!

I wanted to give a big thanks to Bret Martin for inviting me to fish with him this weekend at Crescent. He has a 18 ft Hewescraft with a full enclosed top. A pretty comfortable way to fish when it is snowing. Also a thanks to Brian (bwild) for posting my photo's. We caught some nice size mackinaw, but never caught one brown trout. That is with 10 hours of trolling just for browns. We never got off the water on Saturday and fished from 6:30 til 1pm today. Bret caught his two mackinaw off a rainbow assassin lure and I caught my 3 mackinaw off Joe Bucher lures. We were trolling down between 80-100ft in about 140ft of water at about 2.-2.5mph. Unless we get a hard spring snow storm I think Crescent will be open for the rest of the year.

Good job Jimmy and Bret. I'm reading this while sitting in the trailer in Benson Arizona. Believe it nor not, they are calling for snow here tonight...  But it should be 70 and sunny by Friday. See y'all the end of the month. I'm not sure wether to fish LBC or Crescent when I get back.
