Default 20 lb. walleyes

Rumor has it that Kurt Sonderman got a 20lb walleye 2 days ago. Another report says that somebody got one a little bigger below John Day Dam. Anybody heard anything to confirm?

If anyone would catch a fish like that, it would likely be him.

I checked a popular NW walleye site, and all they heard is the same pictureless rumor.

We'll see, but I wouldnt doubt it.

He definitely has the rep to catch one, and I wouldn't doubt it. Will be nice to see if it's all true & there's a new record.

Not true guys. Kurt did catch a big one the other day, but it was definitely shy of the 20lb mark. I never heard an official weight, but it was somewhere around 18 according to some of his close friends.

Bob's good, to be sure. I've caught some big fish (14# +) with him. I emailed him to see if it's true. I'll report back when I hear.

Just got off the phone with Bob, he confirmed that the fish caught was big but not 21lbs...he stated that if he caught a fish that big, it would be verified as fact as all of the big fish he catches are...I don't know him but I would hope that the other guide mentioned in this post would make the same statement!!!
