Default Scotchgard
Can someone please shed some light on the whole Scotchgard thing for keeping dry flies afloat? do you just pick a few the night before and spray them down well and not use a flotant? or do you use a flotant with them? how long does this treatment last?

Why go through the trouble of spraying your flies with scotchgard and leaving a scent when a queeze bottle of flotant will last you a life time.
