Hot-n-Tots & Availability!!
If anyone is looking for the old style Hot-n-Tots
for use as Divers w/ Bait, there is a local store that still has some. In Clackamas, Great American
Tackle had 2 dozen on the shelves Saturday at 5 PM. Gary is closed on Sunday, but opens Monday at 7 AM. His phone # is (503) 650-2662, call Gary on Monday to check if still in stock. The only color that he has is Metallic Red w/ Black Back.

Not to take business from Gary but if he is out and you cant wait for the new ones from Brads here is a link that still has a few. They are sold out of most colors but since most of us will paint them black anyway . They do have the pirate colors though  buy fishing gear/ hot n tots

Re: Hot-n-Tots & Availability!!
I stopped by Great American Tackle this morning to pick up a couple, and he still had a dozen or so left. Thanks for the heads up on these.
When I was there this morning, I mentioned that I was planning on doing some experimenting with altering the "bill" of a Jet Diver to see if I could get more action out of it, similar to that of a Hot-n-Tot. The store owner (don't know his name) said he was planning on doing the same thing.
If there's one thing fishermen are good at, it's experimenting with stuff!

Re: Hot-n-Tots & Availability!!
WMB,
What benifit would getting action out of your jet diver (like the Hot-n-Tot) give you when suing it for a diver ?

Re: Hot-n-Tots & Availability!!
Having "action" on your diver lets you know that it is not hanging up on the bottom. With the jet divers, there is no telling if they are hung up. You find out too late when your lines are back upstream from the boat. When the rods stop pulsating with a Hot'n'Tot you are hung up, or a fish has swam upstream with your bait. By the way, if anybody has a lead on some Mag Hot'n'Tots, I'd love to know (I only have four left).

Re: Hot-n-Tots & Availability!!
Artwo,
Like "c&D" said, you can tell when your diver is working better with the Hot-n-Tot. But I also like the action imparted by a Hot-n-Tot better than that of a Jet Diver, especially for steelhead.
Jet Divers seem to pull straight with no action, which I like for lazy Chinook, but Hot-n-Tots give some action to the bait and seem to work better for steelhead.
Chuck n Duck: The gentleman at Great American Tackle said that Brad Schoenborn is working to get out some Magnum Hot-n-Tots (with metal lip)before springer season gets here. I'd stay in touch with him if you want a line on them.
