I seldom fish cedar creek in the early morning. I prefer to fish it late morning or evening. Evenings from about 2:00 o'clock till dark usually pays off quite well for me.

Just one more safety note here.

Please be careful when crosing the river in this area, especially this time of year when the weather fluctuates, spring snow melt can change the level in a heart beat.
Getting stuck on the wrong side of your truck can be a nightmare,,trust me.

Default evening sandy?

I was just wondering if anyone thinks it would be even worth it to head out to the cedar creek in a little while? I have never fished later than mid day on the sandy. Do you think theres even any action going on today? -david

It's always worth going out. I fished a river by drift boat yesterday from 9:30 am to 5pm. Another angler put his boat in at 2:00. I got nothing, he got the largest hathery steelhead I've ever seen plus another hatchery that was a very nice fish. Don't let the fact that you can't spend the whole day on the river. Go fishing, it only takes one cast.
