Action Requested - River Rights
The current case law surrounding the AG's opinion is good enough for most river users, including fisherman. SB 1060 in all of it's evolving forms is not in the best interest of MOST Oregonians. From the majority of opinions offered on this thread and others, the general consensus is to leave the current laws as they are.
Common Waters of Oregon urges you to contact your State Senator and let them know you do not support legislation that diminished the AG's opinion.
Most of us are river users in one form or another and do not wish to trespass, litter, or break laws. What we should be united in is the idea that navigable rivers are free for all of us and visitors to our state to use in a lawful and respectful manner.
Thank you for supporting Common Waters.
Tight lines,
SS
