Default fishing low cold clear water

I always look forward to low clear water, the fish are there!but you have to change your tactics;and presentation,
stealth is the answer and infinetly tiny gear, fish can see very small things so use ultra lite tackle.
No.1 get rid of any line over 6 lb. for leaders and make your leaders at least 4 ft. long,
For terminal tackle?again very small hooks with a small chunk of eggs better yet a coupla single eggs.
the presentation? stop above the hole or drift and side cast at about 10 oclock or 2 oclock and let the current take your bait down the river sort of like back bouncing but here you will be using a small slinky, and you wont feel the bottom you just assume it is there, takes a lot of practice to become proficient- but when you do!!!!
no need to worry about other boats as most people stay home.
why does this work so well?????I think the bait is a long ways away from the slinky and swivels and the fish has to approach from below and sees the bait first and has no distractions
the secret when letting out line ,dont have any tension on your line as this will raise the bait off the bottom let the current drag the bait and slinky along.
Always cast close to the boat an work your way out in 5 ft. increments,
as you can let out 100 yds. of line and still feel the bite.
but most important use tiny lite gear and stay a long ways away from your quarey
good luck and good fishing
