Default Sand Shrimp/eggs

Had prety good luck on sand shrimp this year using them with corkies. I read alot of posts about eggs but little to none about sand shrimp. I was interested in your opinion on the worth of sand shrimp and if they are compareable to eggs.
quote:

TO FISH OR NOT TO FISH.......WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT!!!!

wooduxs,

I do believe sandshrimp can be as deadly as any other favorite presentation, it seems to depend on conditions and the mood of the fish. I like to run mine threaded down the line with a small piece of orange yarn tied just above the hook. sometimes I like a corkie on top and sometimes I go with shrimp and small bait of eggs and backbounce. Lots of good ways to use those little crustations when you can find the fresh ones. But, my favorite is still straight eggs and small piece of orange yarn.

Good luck

Mike

My top bait is egg clusters, but this winter we started side drifting more sand shrimp ,with great results.Theres how we rirg them, use med or larger shrimp ,brake off tail ,thread on hook,size#2 or#1 so point comes out just above fan, thread past hook onto leader, then take a plastic jensen egg thread past hook onto leader. This rig lasts cast after cast, after a cast or two add some Maries shrimp oil and repeat. We also run a size 14 corkie on top of the shrimp.
