Default I need some help

I live in salem and i have never fished for bass in the winter. I was just wondering what are the best baits and the places to go from the bank for winter bass?

Ponds that are not over 15 feet deep look for water that gets good sun and is sheltered from the wind. The sun can warm the water but the wind will not mix it with cooler water below. The bass will move up in the water colum and around wood. I have found lots of bass that sit in the warm water layer right under a dock. Also the sun will warm up rocks and the rocks will warm up the nearby water. So try fishing rocks in the afternoon. Canals and small bays are a good place to try early in the year.
hope this helps.
