Any info on OMC Sea Drive?

I am looking at buying a used boat with an 88 235hp OMC Sea Drive on it. Does anyone have any experience (good, bad, or otherwise) with this model of engine or any Sea Drive?

OMC seadrives suck! Get rid of yours. I had one and it gave me nothing but grief. My buddy had twins and they gave him nothing but grief. Get rid of yours and buy a bracket for a regular outboard. There are plenty of good four strokes out there.
You will just spend more and more money on the *** seadrive, so spend a little extra to make the conversion. Good luck!
