Default Eagle Creek/Clackamas

Anyone fish the Clack system this weekend with any luck? I wanna get out there Monday or Tuesday but I wanna hear some good reports before I waste a ton of money on gas to get there.

A ton of money on gas???????

It says you're from Portland

You can be in the water in 20-30 minutes

Now, now, Uncle Bob, we need to consider that a bunch of money to one person may not be that much to another. Maybe he has one of those old chevy or fords that sucks gas by the minute. If only we had all we needed, it would still matter to some.
Steelie Ben, If you are that far from the Clack. you should consider going to the NF Nehalem as it would be as close and probably better fishing.

I fished the Creek 2 days this weekend. Went 2 for 4 hookups for the weekend. Had to release the 2 I landed, 1 native and 1 foul hooked hatchery brat. There were a lot of people and a lot of pressure on the Creek because the Clack was so high. Saw some guys with fish but it was spotty compared to how many guys were out there flogging the water. From talking to people, fish were caught on Eggs, Corkies and Yarn, Sandshrimp, Pink Worms, and Jigs, in that order from most to least.

Hey Ben- I second that opinion about the N. F.Nehalem. I was there Sat and the fish were moving in. It wasn't red hot but they seemed a little more bitey than the Eagle Creek fish. gluck
