I would do it again. It was a great camping trip last year. I might even try fishing for kokanee this time since we can fish with two rods.

Anybody want to start throwing out weekends that work? We went the first weekend of April last year. Do you guys want to go earlier or around the same time? I'm booked up for the weekends of the 3/20-3/21 and 3/27-3/28.

Maybe see if you can work out a deal with someone bringing a boat like Fish-on-Bend and I do. I bring the camper, he brings the boat. Fallriverguy gets to get in on the camper as well. I think it was something like 16 degrees one morning last year. That heater came in very handy.

Then again, the weather has been so strange this year I wouldn't be surprised if it was 90 during the day....or it could be a blizzard...

What, is the universe going to be upside down again this year!

A little side note, last year Dullhook was going in there in September from Indian Ford and they where closing a section of the road, they let him through, but had to return through Redmond. So If anyone is going through Indian Ford, better check to see if the road is open! I sure would hate to travel on 20 miles of gravel only to have to turn around with only five miles to go!

Count me in pending my work schedule for that time periods. Missed it last year with some ex problems, but sounded like you guys had a blast. With the two rod thing this year, it will be interesting to see how all that works out and the pros and cons.

If you have room for one more I might make a run over (boat + truck camper). Saw the pictures from last year and looked like a blast. Even caught a few kokes over this past year on other lakes, but never been to LBC.

FWIW - April 10-11, at Perry S. Cpgd works for me if that's "final".

Didn't make it last year (can't remember why, but there was a reason). Can't make it this year unfortunately. My wife is due with our first child on April 8th, so I need to be very close to her vicinity around that time.

Have fun! Stick some bulls.

...oh, and some kokes too for you koke-heads out there

We'll try to fill in more details as we get closer. Come one, come all! Last year everyone took care of their own food, drink, etc and maybe brought a little something extra to share. Seemed to work out well.

With the way that the water year is shaping up hopefully there'll be some water to fish in...

Tried to book a campsite online, but there are "None Available". I'm guessing that's because they don't take reservations that early in the year. Was finding a spot last year a problem at all?

Thinking of taking Friday off and driving up there in the Morning.

Is this open to any I-Fisher and is it kind of a imprompt to get together ??Never have fished LBC but its on my to do list this year. Could use some pointers on the general direction to go once I get there .....
What are the camping facilites like at Perry ???

My home waters are Crescent and Blowdell ..And yes I'm a fellow "Kokaholic"......

Perry South does not even have a camp host at it until Memorial day weekend. It is first come first serve until then. Apart from us, there is usually nobody down here this time of year.

Yes Buddy is going to let me go and we are looking forward to meeting everyone and spending some time on LBC. We went to fishermans after reading that post about Phil's Kok tips and got a new rod and some more gear. Spent way to much money, I'm thinking about sendind Phil a bill. Oh by the way, did I tell you that Buddy and I are going to LBC next Thursday afternoon for the weekend

had a great time last year. Aufish thanks for the lures, tried them out and worked great later in teh summer. We havent been able to get over and fish yet this year but anytime now. Also if I heard right the back road is under construction till June? tight lines everyone :-)

We will be staying at 3 rivers.

My Dad and I are planning on coming over for this. He's heading over on Thursday I believe with his Chalet, and I'm bringing my Boat and Truck Camper on Friday. Say hello when you see the Blue Northriver Seahawk. Never been to LBC though, so any tips will be appreciated.

Not new to Kokanee fishing, but not much experience trolling for Bull Trout. Any special tackle/lures I should pick up?

I am thinking about coming over. I have a drift boat with a 6hp motor and no downriggers. Will a traditional trout pole and reel work for kokes, or is it too difficult? Thanks for the information.

Your trout rod and reel will work fine. You probably wont need downriggers during that time and you can always jig for them.

Bulls like big stick (6"+) baits that resemble kokes and lots of guys like to roll herring with or without a dodger. These kind of lures usually require a bit more than a kokanee rod, I now call my old steelhead rods bull trout rods

never been to perry south,the web page says closed till may, is it open right now, just without a host or is it locked up till spring.i thought i may try it next weekend if it is open.also woundering as to the best route from bend to get there. thanks

best access is through culver right now. the camp ground is open but no host.
