Default $Reward$: Rod lost on the Siletz!

I have a reward out for a 30 year old Fenwick glass plug rod last seen exiting my center rod holder with large Siletz Steelhead attached to a hotshot. Can be identified by streaked greasy dude fingerprints smelling faintly of Pizza flavored Pringles. If found you may keep rod as I just want the fish that dared jump over and over laughing at us.

Hey Grant, found your rod right after you left that slot. Picked it up in the tailout (didn't know fenwick made a yellow rod with a picture of a bird on it). Sorry, couldn't get the fish for you. As we removed the 4/0 treble from it's back it slipped out of our hands and back into the drink. You can thank me later....

For you, your down fall was those greasy fingers from your little bag of snacks.
Mine was bait slimed hands - slicker n snot!

I guess I'd never loose a rod, if I just leave them in my room. Yeah Right!

Oh well, Rods that gather dust should be given away.

I dont know if we ran into the same fish, but just before the town of Logston (sp) on the Siletz Saturday, I had one on that was by far the biggest Steelie I have ever hooked. Could not get his head up, and after about 5 mins he spit the hook. It would not suprise me if this one took a rod befor he is done. Glad to hear you had action, even if it was brief.
