Do you know where the pictures are? It would make it easier for a novice; like myself, get a better idea of what the is talking about with rigging.

The article is out of the book "Kokanee...A Complete Fishing Guide" by Dave Biser.... Frank Amato Publications, Inc. (found at most fishing supply stores)

That store that starts with Bi and ends with Mart has this book. It's a good read, TONS of info and ideas to ponder.

Seems like some days they are golden and some days not. The orange one did well for us last year.

Thanks, for posting this, I forgot it was on Kokanee Powers website.

Phil was a great guy and an awesome fisherman. I really miss him being around and his wife Kathy is still heavily involved in Kokanee Power. I haven't seen Jay chonacki in years and often wonder what happened to him.

This article is from a long time ago and a lot has been discovered since then. One thing to try with the Wee Tads on days when the water is clear and there is no wind in the afternoon run a Kokanee bug about 3 inches behind the Wee Tad. The action from the Wee Tad can make the Kokanee Bug incredibly desirable to Kokanee in conditions where they don't want much flash.

Hope this helps,

Vance Staplin

For those running Wee Tads, have you had better success running the leader through the front hole or top hole and what speed has been most effective?

Another little tip on the Wee Tads. If you want to run the line on the top hole or either hole for that matter at higher speeds you can put a split shot under it instead of a bead. The added weight will stop it from rolling. With a little practice you will be surprised of the action you get.

Play with it, it is worth while.
