Rob Beard is a Football player at the University of Oregon and is the RS Freshman & kick-off specialist. He was trying to break up a verbal altercation between another Oregon Football player, and a large group of people (20-40) in an alley near Campus early Sunday am. Things got physical and Rob got knocked to the ground, and that's when people involved in the altercation began kicking him about the head, until Rob lost conciousness. We was taken to River Bend Hospital, where he underwent surgery, and was then placed into ICU in Critical Condition. According to a post I read from his Father, Rob is going to be scheduled for facial reconstruction surgery sometime soon.
This morning, a River Bend Hospital spokesperson said that Rob has been upgraded to Fair Condition.
My Prayers go out to Rob Beard and his Family, in the hopes that he will make a swift and complete recovery.
