So I took Friday off fished the Wilson, the Nestucca from Daylight to dark and couldn't get a nibble. My friend Dave dropped by tonight about 3:00pm and said " lets go to the Sandy" This late ? I live in Milwaukie. So we got to the river around 5:30 pm and I landed Two Nine pound brates in about Fifteen minutes. My first keepers of the year.

My friday was thursday.

Radiator was begining to leak so I took it into the shop last month. New radiator installed. still leaked. took it back. Intake gasket and water pump replaced. 2.5 days in shop and $1100. Radiator still leaks.

They don't make a smiley graemlin thingy this site will allow that would express how I feel about that.

What is with this month...

Took the Wife's jeep in to get the exhaust gasket replaced , lots of shop time from broken bolts ...
600$ bill I paid to recommended Mechanic , 3 weeks later its worse than before ...
He says ... another 500$ to repair what he should have done right in the first place ...
I will go elsewhere , thank you anyway ...
I sure wish I had a place to work on my own stuff ... Homeowners ass. will not allow it ... Arrrgghhh ...

Chin up Barney, the months almost over.

After another 3.5 hours in the shop all issues appear to have been resolved. No additional cost and the shop and I are still on speaking terms. We both quietly agreed to not let Murphy the Lawman ruin the situation and kept the dialogue civil. This small shop has been around a long time and I like having kept the money in a local operation.

Now I finally get to wet a line for February springers.
