Default So who tried to get killed at KP today?

The Story, Kelly point- Tug and Barge vs. 17' Bayliner, who wins??....

Be careful and watch for those that don't watch for you. Lucky day for those guys, one got wet but last I heard he wad taken to the hospital and it sounded like he lived, the other looked.... quite shaken sitting with the damaged boat at the St. John's Ramp with some 6-8 Coast Guard, Sheriff and State Police.

Geez, no fish is worth your life.

I thought you were going to write about the green Alumaweld Intruder that Waterdog mentioned. Sounds like Waterdog would have liked to have seen the Intruders occupants in the water.

As much as I'd like to say HECK YEAH!!! I wont. I dont want anyone getting hurt, just use your ******* head!!!

Funny thing tho, I left my radio on to drain the batteries and then recharge for tomorrow. As I walked in the house I heard the coasties responding to the incident. I wondered if there was green paint on the barge........

Here to hoping for a better day tomorrow.

By all means, I wasn't implying anyone would want another fisher hurt. It just sounded like a little cold water dousing may have been deserved.

Funny how, when you read things over, they can sound different. I really didn't interpret what you wrote as being directed at me.

From the Sunday Oregonian:
The fishermen both survived, one with a leg injury and hypothermia.

The sheriff is seeking information on the incident. OSP is searching for the barge, which did not stop, and wants a description of the barge. They also are trying to determine whether the boat was anchored in the shipping channel.

The tugboat captain was cited for failure to keep a proper lookout in the incident. The fishermen may have also been at fault for anchoring in the channel and failing to keep a proper lookout. The tug was not cited for hit and run as it was in a "side tow" configuration ... the Oregonian reports on 1/14.
