Default Saturday Wilson Report

Take one look at the river level guage and I would give you one guess as to how the fishing was. Yep, the pits. Water was rising and muddy and very few fish being caught. The two bright spots on the day (until 2:00 anyway) was that it didn't rain the whole time and there weren't as many boats as the last time I was down. Of course getting drenched and not touching a fish doesn't make up for it. The three fish that I saw landed were in the 'pond drift', of which one was a native and the other two by the kid in the yellow drift boat that always seems to be there. And be careful driving over to the coast. The storm last night left the highway littered with tons of branches and one good sized tree that left an impression on a Honda Prelude.

Blackdog. Thanks for the report and safety note. I may be out that way and will pack my rod as I may have a couple of hours to kill. While things have slowed on the Sandy, the water is soooo ever nice looking even after the river rising about a foot today.
