Main Nehalem? No hatchery runs in this river for many years; it doesn't receive plantings, the Trask either. River does not fish well over 5.5 feet and this week it was borderline flooding. Haven't heard any reports from the N.F. Nehalem but it should be fishable and producing some fish.

Thanks for the reply SteelieSteve. I usually fish the Wilson but a co-worker of my wife's had heard that the steelhead fishing in the Nehelam (?) was really hot this past week. I think I'll ask the person if they had the wrong river next week.

Thanks again for the quick reply... good fishing.
(:

FAL- I was at the N. Fork Yesterday at dark o thirty and it was combat fishing at its best. All pretty friendly. Water was high enough to prevent the hike downstream so everyone was pretty much bunched up. Once the waters go down we can spread out a bit. Lots of brite fish have moved up. Good Luck!!
