Bankie scores springer in woodland
Sorry no pics but here's the blow by blow
Missed the opportunity to take the open seat with baitboy this a.m. :depressed: after calling in and getting the go ahead for work today...at 7:30 work called back and cancelled so off I went in search of a springer.
Reached the water across from 72 betwwen lions park and the RV park in Woodland at the wingdam..(4x4 sand road) and put out a spin-glo prawntail and then attached a K-14 fickle pickle w/sardine lunker lotion to a 6 foot leader w/snap swivel to slide it down the mainline to fish 2 set-ups in approx 8 feet of water just 20 yards out with 10oz's of lead to hold the k-fish in place.
At 9:15 a.m. my rod go's off with a flurry of jerks and screams as I bail out in gail winds and rain to set the hook...23lb Clipped Springer !!WOO HOO!!!!!
Will try again Sunday!!!
edit..Caught on the K-14 Fickle Pickle

Congrats.
So did the fish take the Kwikfish, or the Spin N Glo and Prawn?

Re: Bankie scores springer in woodland
Well, now, if ever there was a post calculated to induce fish frenzy, (as well as a run on the last few fickle pickles out there) this will do it. Gotta do the basketball shuttle tomorrow, then sunday, look out fish!.

Thanks for the great report Obi Won Bank Master Kenobi.
Maybe I'll get lucky and find some fish when I go Tues. I need luck since I'm not a grand master of the Fickle Pickle like you.

Re: Bankie scores springer in woodland
I don't know guys and gals, the fish catching FSHKLR without pics? Now, he wants us to believe he caught a springer already. Sounds like a fishstory to me.
Congratulations Dan, getting that first springer out of the way is always nice. Still waiting here! Go get em, and this time, remember the camera.
YOU should satrt giving clinics on bank fishing, you're pretty successful at it.

You're going to abandon your red hot zipper spot for County Line?
