Re: Today was GREAT !!!
RIGHT ON MR BOB!!! Your measurements will probably do the trick. I've had a little taxidermy work done over the years. The absolute best mount I have in my home is a 11-1/4lb Walleye that Rick Leach did for me. Is a fiberglass repo., cause I ate my fish too.ha The detail, painting,& finish of this toothy critter is unreal. Be warned!! He's spendy!! But it's a piece you and friends will enjoy the rest of your life. Wanna see mine anytime, come on over.

Re: Today was GREAT !!!
Congrats Bob, That's a great fish. Was there anytime you were worried the fish would come unhooked? If possible, could you share a few more details so we could relieve the battle with you? I need to get pumped up for this weekend.
Thanks,
Gregg

Re: Today was GREAT !!!
I hooked the fish in the tailout of Hathaway Park
it took several runs, never jumped once, when I got in pretty close to shore it took off up stream and would not stop(lucky for me)if it had decideed to go downstream there's no way I would ever caught this fish.Theres a sharp turn to the left and some really fast water going into the lighthouse hole with no way in the world to follow it down.Anyway it took me about 30 min. to land it.I never saw the fish untill about the last 10 min of the fight thats when the panic set in it took several long runs of maybe thirty or forty yds you know just about across the river
it fought a lot like a chinook you know just a bulldog fight lots of head shakes,i don't know it was just awesome.I didn't think to much about loseing it untill I saw it then I started praying
it went something like this.DON'T GET OFF PLEASE DON'T GET OFF PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE AND WHEN I LANDED IT IT WENT LIKE THIS,THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.This was the first fish I've ever had run upstream on me they normally head for the current and try to go down, when I first hooked it the way it was fighting I thought it was a big old summer fish it just kept pulling line upstream. It was great you guys it really was.
Now I have to look for that 24# out there somewhere.Where are you fishy, fishy, here fishy, fishy !!  ,I'm still all pumped up over it it was GRRREAT !!.
Bob

Re: Today was GREAT !!!
What do you mean, no pictures of a fish of a life time. Bob? Bob? Bob? Well done and a nice write up on the fight, I got goose bumps just reading about your fight. I just cannot believe so many can go fishing while I have to work all day. WE are all proud for you because we are such a caring group. We're also very jealous. I don't recall you disclosing what you hooked it on. Maybe you did, I think you said you hooked it on the Washougal..Nice job.

Re: Today was GREAT !!!
Maybe if we all pitch in a buck or two, we can get Bob a nice camera to carry with him. Saw a picture of a 19-20 lb. brute a couple weeks ago caught on the Sandy. Jeeze what a fish. Bob's fish was even better than that one. I've thought about this all day now.

Re: Today was GREAT !!!
Way to go Bob. I have a 21 pounder that is on my wall in my family room. I caught in on the Clackamas in 1984. It is definitely one of my pride and joy's. Congratulations.

I'm going to buy me one of those waterproof cameras that you turn in and buy a new one, when the film is all used up.I hate to admit this but my wife told a long time ago to do this :depressed: ,I hate it when she's right.
