Default Materials?

Where do most of you get your rod wrapping materials. There are several out there like Angler's Workshop, Mudhole, Cabela's. Which place do you get the best products and best service from.

All depends on what I need at the time & who has what for how much. It pays to shop around sometimes.

There are more than a few blank & component suppliers. In fact there are many. I can't remeber ever having a bad experience with any of them except of course Ebay.

Angler's Workshop is A+ in my book for many of the items I use.

All else being equal, I generally use those with fastest & least expensive shipping costs.

Depends, Anglers Workshop mostly. I also do business with Utmost Enterprises, Mudhole, Acid Rod, Merrick Tackle, and Anglers Envy (abalone veneer)

Ive been using Acid and Mudhole alot, but with Anglers up the way I think that'll be my new spot. I think its down to availability, if you can drive a few miles to save on shipping and wait time then it might be worth the slightly higher price. Theres nothing worse then putting an order in to find out you got the wrong size component or even the wrong component. I just wished there was a place here in Portland.

My only complaint with Anglers is the way they amp up their shipping costs, much beyond what they pay. Seems a rather sneaky way to increase their margins.

In th epast several years i have used Utmost, Anglers, and Mudhole. Mainly Utmost because of there components and because I use Rainshadow blanks 90% of the time to build on. I cannot say anything abou Anglers shipping because I drive up there. I get alot of my jig tieing items there as well.
