CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF YOU CAN STILL CATCH STEELIES IN THE FLOODED OUT WATERS OF THE CLACK?I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE.YESTERDAY WHILE CHECKING OUT THE RIVER I SAW TWO NICE LOOKING BOBBERS FLOAT ON BY.I REALLY WANTED TO GO AFTER THEM,AS WE ALL KNOW TACKLE CAN GET EXPENSIVE.MY WIFE SAID JUST GO BUY SOME DONT BE SO CHEAP! :blush:
Well..the fish are in that brown stuff...but it's hard for them to see. There's some folks that do pretty good bank fishing along the Clack..but they're fishing in pretty close to the bank...like really close. I'd wait til you get a foot or two of visibility in the water before you try it. But hey...you never know.......I'm gonna be heading over that way to run the Miata thru DEQ, and I'll be scoping the water color.
As of about 3 p.m., the water's just starting to turn, but visibility is only about 6 inches. Two guys plunkin' at Riverside with no action. I don't think it'll be too good tomorrow visibility-wise, but the level ought to be there. Wait and see.......................................
