Default towing challenge for the challenge?

I'm keeping me fingers crossed it will warm up today and tomorrow so I can get the boat out. Came into work today, pretty nasty, but I made it.
Sure enjoyed the two days off with the family.
Lets all pray for some melt off by sat.

Yes, a collective prayer for warmer temperatures might just help!! No school again today, so I'm home. My husband couldn't miss any more days so braved the roads to Stimsons, just below Hagg Lake. Made it okay, thank goodness  . He said 47 wasn't bad, but the turnoff to the mill was pretty dicey.

GBS,

I HAD to get into the office today. You know what they say about idle hands...

If we need to, I have studs and chains on my Explorer. We can get that boat out. But lets hope for better roads, ramps and weather. I would hate to reschedule. Seems like I have been doing that a lot lately

no kidding! I'm chompin' at the bit. May take you up on the studs, would come in handy on the boat ramp. I think we'll make it out, or "team nose hairs" will have to hit a river for steelies, but I'm going fishing by god!

I also have studs on the mighty Tacoma. If Saftychain's rig has trouble getting out of the ramp I can hook up my rig to it and she'll be right. One way or another we'll be fishing.

be safe coming over Brian. Hope the drive from Bend is not too dicey for ya. If it's too lousy at you moms out in east county you can stay over at my place in portland too. The offer is still open.

No worries. We have a heat wave in Bend. I don't expect any trouble till I get to the Sandy area. If it is still icy at mom's then I will take you up on your offer.

Steelies might be a good idea for team nosehairs, since Team HE WHO SMELT IT will be catching ALL the sturgeon that day!!

Jeesh, you guys are talking about Saturdays challenge and I'cant even get out of my driveway yet. Roads here are still iced over and undriveable (imo)Ice so long it go from the wheelwells on my truck all the way to ground, and in someplaces it's so thick it supports my 275lbs

Calling you out John,

How about a side bet? Losing team gets their picture taken fishing from the kiddie pool and posted on the board

(deal subject to team acceptance  )

Yeah...I better not get too deep in the smack talk just yet

I managed a pity seat with baitboy and andycoho (thanks again guys). I'd be game for it, but I don't know about my teammates. (If you guys are watching this...get my back, will ya ?)

How about a pitcher of Mickey Finn's afterwards ? 1 Point for every shaker to the boat, 5 for every keeper ? Least points buys beer ? I hope you guys bring some money, I can drink lots of beer.

We will be fishing tomorrow, getting the team dialed in. We're pretty hardcore  Maybe we'll decide on an appropriate team name then. You guys might need to change your name to "I'm Buyin "

Keep it up RK. Team They Who Stunk It Up just might be setting themselves up for a Seahawk like overtime melt down due to bombastic overtures.

I borrowed a radio controlled model speed boat, which has enough room on the deck for the bottle. It has a range of up to 500 yards, so we can be anchored in different spots, and still pass the bushmills.

I wasn't really jealous until the talk of bushmills started. :depressed: All I will say is that there were a few times we had to stay late at work in order to safely go home. I don't know if the company made out or not for our "extra efforts"

You guys really know how to hurt a guy. I hope you guys get a few keepers for your efforts. Brad I know you're sitting good with the fishing gods.

FYI I have a towing machine F-350 Diesel CC 4wd chains all around. Don't worry I don't have a boat getting in the way of helping one of you out with lesser vehicles.

Greatboatskunk...

Still, Team Nosehairs will be thirsty from the warm up shakers and workout of keeper retrieval.

I headed to the boat show yesterday and due to the chain requirements on I-5, I crossed the St.Johns Bridge. Based on what I saw I don't think anyone will be launching out of Cathedral Park tomorrow unless the road gets plowed and the Parking lot gets cleared. The condidtions in that area of Portland are horrible. I would assume the 42nd St. ramp is in the same shape. Maybe it will clear up but it's hard to think that positive after seeing the conditions.

Sturgeon42, You live there near Cathedral. What do you think?

Good luck and be VERY careful if you head out tomorrow.
