Default Headline News channel 202

Did anyone see the news story of the guys that apparently were in their Truck by the Willamette river on New Years day, when all of a sudden the river rose and they were up to their necks in it (still in the vehicle)?

Apparently someone in a boat came along and saved them....

I am wondering what details the report on the tv left out?

Did these guys roll into the water from a ramp?

Anyone have the full story?

It was on 6 @ 11PM. Apparently, they were not watching the tide and
ran 'back' when they noticed the truck/suv, getting wet.

I saw it on KATU, They were submerged all the way up to the roof. Wonder if the truck went downriver?

Was there a little drinking involved?

How can the tide come up and do that, in some areas like the coast but at OC, come on lets here the rest of the story

Probably had little to do with tides if anything at all. The flow of the Willamette increased dramatically yesterday...it more than doubled over the course of the day.

Unless the water rose in a matter of minutes I don't see how someone could let the river sneak up on you like that. Do people normally drive out where these men were? Sounds rather bizarre to me. Fortunately everyone is okay.
