Default What knot(s) do you like when..........

.................tying up your own wedding ring spinners?? (I am referring to the knot used to tie the hook to the leader) Just thought I would see how other guys do their own rigs.

I like to tie my first hook that slides and my second hook with a cinch knot. That i can spread my hooks to where i want them. I put corn on the first hook and worm on the second hook.

I use an improved cinch (and make sure you lube it with saliva) knot for single, and treble hooks, then tie a surgeon's loop for the other end. I have a dou-lock snap on the ends of everything else, also attached with improved cinch knot. At the end of my mainline (8LB Power-Pro braid) I just tie a surgeon's loop (improved cinch knot will slip loose and come untied every time) to a solid ring ball bearing swivel, with duo-lock snap on it. I have thought about switching to the albright knot, but I am old, blind (without my "cheaters") and just too stubborn. I don't use the double hook setup for my wedding ring lures.

I snell the back hook and egg loop the front hook. On the other end I use a duo lok with a cinch knot but may change that this year to a surgeons loop, at least for hoochies.

I use a snell or a egg loop depending on the hook I use.

I've been using the surgeons loop for a bit now and have come to the conclusion that it's a ******* weak knot. I suggest sticking with the duo, or going with the Alpine Butterfly or the Figure 8 loop. I prefer the Alpine.
