Every spring about this time, I go to GiJoes and buy a couple of pairs of my favorite gold rimmed, mirrored lens, polarized aviator sunglasses for about 14 bucks. This year, I have been to 2 joes and they don't seem to have them. Does anybody know where I might find these glasses in particular, or more likely, who around has lots and I mean LOTS of cheap sunglasses?
I think the hard thing is going to be finding them polarized.
Polarized for $14?? Hmmmm....I'm skeptical. No wonder they're hard to find.
I was at a hardware store by my house and they had a couple racks full of glasses. The only reason I noticed was because some dude knocked a bunch on the floor as he was walking by. [img]graemlins/dork.gif[/img]
If I go there sometime soon I'll take a look.
I spent $110 on my current pair. A year and a half and so far I haven't broken or lost them.
I work outside and wear them for 14 hours a day sometimes, so I gotta have a good glasses.

20 bucks is my ceiling because it usually only takes a month befor I sit on them getting into the truck or they fall off my face as I'm reaching over the boat to dump the p can.
I guess I'll have to call around to some other joes.
You sound like me. When I worked on a boat I lost at least 5 lighters (one zippo), 4 pairs of sunglasses (overboard or broken), 1 CD (don't ask) and 1 cell phone. One of the passangers even lsot a lap top while setting it on the rail and enjoying some work in the sun. Then it slipped. There are some happenin fish down there
