Default Help

Is there anyone out in ifish land that has had to replace the heating element. Our dryer quit blowing hot air

I did ours many years ago, and if I remember right, it wasn't all that difficult. The belt around the drum was a different story though!!

I had a similar problem with ours a year or so back but I found out it was just a temperature sensor that went bad. Same basic symptoms as the heating element but I went out on a limb and tried the $20 part first. Bingo.......It works great.

There are several places online that have the schematics for your dryer. It was an easy fix that involved only 2 wires.

I did it a while back on a dryer in a rental. Wasn't hard at all but make sure you take the part with you and get the same coil density. They sold me one that wasn't as "hot" and it took forever to dry a load of clothes.
