Default Da Sandy

I spent Thursday morning on the Sandy near Dodge Park. Didn't see any bobbers down, or any drifters hook up either. Left after the rains starting pouring down. Then off to work, so....

Did anyone do anything in that area yesterday? I'm getting tired of living vicariously through other folks posts. Time for me to start justifying my recent purchases to my wife

Thanks,...

I have been fishing the sandy almost daily as I live 4 miles or so from stark street bridge. The pipeline hole area has been good for almost a fish each morning, sometimes not. I try to fish either up high or down low in the river for a given morning. This allows me to move to another long stretch if my first one does not work. I usually fish the pipe line area/dodge park/cedar creek one morning and lewis and clark/behind jacks snack and tackle/stark street bridge another morning. Bobber and jigs followed with spinners keep me moving and into fish!

Have you guys noticed that most of the hatchery steelhead on the Sandy this year seem to be a little on the small side?

Small? You sure your not catching Pikeminnow ? Kidding. Actually, they seem average or better.

I don't believe that the non clipped fish I've hook on the Sandy are non clipped hatchery fish. They have run much larger and more active after setting the hook.
