Default Microwave Caramel Corn

Hey guys, got this recipe from a friend at work and had a chance to do up a couple of batches tonight. It is AWESOME and super fast.

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar (Packed)
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 stick (4 oz.) butter (no substitutions)
1/2 teaspoon salt
3-4 quarts POPPED corn

1) Combine all ingredients except baking soda and popped corn in a 1 1/2 to 2 quart microwave safe bowl.

2) Put popped corn in a large paper grocery bag.

3) Put brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt in the microwave safe bowl, and bring mixture to a boil. Once boiling, open microwave and stir mixture together.

4) Put back in microwave, re-heat to boiling, and allow to boil for 2 minutes.

5) Remove mixture from microwave and add 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Stir soda into mixture.

6) Pour mixture over the popped corn in the brown bag. Roll down top of bag and shake vigorously.

7) Put paper bag into the microwave and cook for 1 1/2 minutes.

8) Remove bag and shake vigorously.

9) Put paper bag back into the microwave and cook for an additional 1 1/2 minutes.

10) Remove bag, shake vigorously, then pour out caramel corn onto cookie sheets to dry. Stir with hand occasionally as it cools to break up clusters.

11) Try to keep from eating it all immediately. Good luck.
