Default Contractors Test

I passed the CCB test(Construction Contractors Board)exam today  . Fifty six correctly answered questions out of eighty in an hour and a half will earn you the minimum passing grade of seventy percent. Just so you know what to shoot for. It wasn't the easiest test I've ever taken, nor the hardest. It's the way the questions are worded that get you. There was a question I knew the answer to and even had the definition in the book right in front of me. I still couldn't see which of the four choices on the screen was the right answer. I'll never know if I got it right or not. The important thing is that I passed the test and learned some valueable information in the process.

I'm now that much closer to opening my own electrical contracting business. After being out of work for a long time I decided it was time to took matters into my own hands and made things happen for myself. Owning my own business will be a first for me. I'm really excited to get back to work. Within a couple days from now I hope to have the last of the paperwork completed and start learning how to be my own boss. Oh, sorry Hunny .

If any of you are thinking of taking the CCB exam I would be happy to help by sharing any information I learned throughout the process.

Welcome to the fold!

My Dad and I have been General Contractors since '92. Even though both of us have Gov. jobs it is still very nice to say that you are Licensed, Bonded and Insured.

I would do it full time if I had a way to have full medical, dental and a retirement plan. Being a Gerneral Contractor or sometimes a framing sub-contractor is the most satisfying career I have had.

Again good job!
