Default Fishing with John

Are you familiar with this work of art? John Lurie received a grant from the New York City Arts Commission and composed music to accompany a series of cable television broadcasts. The music is fairly "new" (you may know John Lurie as the lead of the Lounge Lizards). The videos are classic. The liner notes promise, "John Lurie knows absolutely nothing about fishing, but that doesn't stop him from taking you on the adventure of a lifetime". On the cover, "Life is so beautiful. Every breath...everyday of our lives...ahhhh....fishing."

Traveling with his special guests to the most exotic and dangerous places on earth, John Lurie battles sharks with Jim Jarmusch off the tip of Long Island, goes ice fishing with Willem Dafoe at Maine's northernmost point, braves the Costa Rican jungle with Matt Dillon, takes Tom Waits to Jamaica, and searches for the elusive giant squid with Dennis Hopper in Thailand.

This ranks as one of my favorite fishing videos. I highly recommend it.
