Are you currently SERIOUSLY looking at buying a new Chev/GM car or truck? If so, read on. As the result of a class action lawsuit against GMC (Saddle fuel tanks in older GM pickups) I received a consumer certificate for $1000 towards the purchase of a new Chev/GM vehicle. I have no intention of using the certificate nor does anyone else in my family, so I thought I might offer it to someone here. As a third party, it's value to you is $500 towards the best price you can negotiate. You do NOT have to tell the salesman about the certificate until after you have gotten them down to the best possible price. It's good until May 13,2005. From May 14,2005 through November 13, 2006 it's value drops to $250, so the sooner you use it the better. Why am I doing this? Since I came to this site a couple of years ago, I figure I've scored some pretty good deals, picked up some valuable information, and met some pretty nice guys, so it's time for me to give back a little. Now if someone here uses this certificate and saves $500 and decides to send my wife and I to dinner, I would not be offended, nor will I be offended if I hear nothing! The bottom line is: I have this certificate, I ain't gonna use it, I hope someone here can use it.

I'll give this post a little time to see if it shows any interest, so it's not neccessarily a 1st come 1st served situation.
