When I was growing up everyone I knew had a little chief and we would use the box it came in for insulation. I know I know it seems like a fire hazard but I worked great and we never had an issue with it.

Cabela's has the big and little chief insulation blanket. ( $29.99 ) You can put it in your computer search and find it.

Good Luck

Made my own for $12.00. Home Depot sells rolls, 2 ft. X 10 ft. of bubble wrap covered on both sides with foil. A couple small pieces of velcro to secure and it is the same as what they sell for twice the price. Works great

I'll second the Home Depot method... I have had one made like that for 5 years and it is still going strong.

Mines still has the box. It's about 16 years old and looks a little worse for wear, but it still works. When it's really cold or a little breeze blowing, I just lean 3 or 4 scrap pieces of plywood next to it. I remember the instruction said don't use the box, but advice from other people was to use it and the box itself had dotted lines for the holes to be cut out. I always figured it said not to use it as a disclaimer because of liability.

You can also use the fireproof insullation that they use for HVAC ducts. My wifes uncle is a manager for a heating and air conditiong company and he got me some scraps. I made one for my propane smoker from Bi-Mart and just used duck tape for the corners and some super glued velcro to latch the front. It lasted three years, but I lost it somehow when we moved recently.

Automotive windshield reflectors can be easily converted, from a dollar tree store. Seems that it is the same material.

Just a cheap sleeping bag from the goodwill is plenty good enough for a smoker Blanket.
We are on year number twenty-something with the same bag.
For what you want it is all you need.
try not to get a nylon bag for obvious reasons..just one of those old canvas type material ones.
