Thanx Dave, I had forgotten all about that tourny. Maybe I`ll head up to the north Santiam instead. Later, Ff.

went last sunday to hagg and was very slow, the lake is being stocked this week sometime (before saturdays tournament I assume)

either way there should be plenty of fish to catch for the boaters on the tourney and the bank fisherman.

Hagg Lake received 18,000 stocked trout Monday March 1st. The Trout derby sponsored by Bi Mart starts at 6:00 am Saturday morning March 6th.

I fished Hagg lake the opening day last Saturday. Took out my new Alumaweld Stryker. Trolled with two rods for about 4 hours. Caught about 7 fish. All released. About 10 or 11 inches. But was very slow for trout. Most boats caught only a few. May be better this weekend with the trout derby. Good luck!!!

Last weekend was slow for us (trolling). I understand that they are holding deep. Fish the bottom with powerbait.

Rumor has it that there are left overs from last year also. For more info, stop at the Lake Stop store and ask.

I fished the lake for a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon. My fishing partner and I caught and released over twenty trout. Trolling small spoons with a half to one oz. trolling sinker. It was a mixed bag of some decent hold overs and recently stock trout.
