Huh, for some reason I can't get it to work. I'll send it to one of the mods.

Stinky,
Thanks for fixing it. Here is an explanation of what is going on in the footage.

It depicts an AH-64D Apache engaging Iraqis who are emplacing an IED (Improvised Explosive
Device - i.e. a mine) on a road to support an ambush against what is assumed to be an American convoy.

Aircraft is hovering at about 900 meters, using 2nd Generation Forward Looking Infrared and 30 MM auto cannon.

I agree CT.

War is not entertainment.
Watching real people get killed is not entertainment.

A god example of what war is, kill people and break things. Ugly at best.

We need to see more of that reality!!! Let people see the TRUE costs of war.

However, we also need to see more reporting like the stuff done by KATU recently...showing some of the good things that are going on over there, not just the bad.

The audio on the last kill is disturbing -

"Roger, he's wounded. Hit him."

I guess 'take no prisoners' is the operative mode.

There is no context to this other than what Tanner offered, but at what point does shooting wounded who are offering no resistance become contrary to established procedure?

Imagine how we'd feel if that was one of our guys trying to crawl away?

Garyk

Wounded yes, still combat effective maybe? How can you know what threat he posed? Standard procedure is to remove the threat first then move in and secure.

garyk, That feeling sucks, watching your wounded buddy get blown to bits, as you watch not able to do anything. A person likes to think they couldn't do anything, but the question is still there could I have helped him? War is hell, just try to make it shorter. Lick your mental wounds later.

Gark, I am a vet of the first Gulf War. Sometimes in war you do things that you regret later. But What it all comes down to is who is going to go home them or you. Needless to say but I like many other are here today because of actions like those that you have just seen. I'm not saying that its right or wrong, but you could only see a small picture of the whole battle. To all who have served or are serving I salute you. Brian

I was in Iraq last year. Was scoped out many times and had friends shot up and bombed by those fellas running around. My partner at work is there now.

Good to see them caught out in the open. They threaten our world and any hope for a Iraq to become a good place to live.

Sic'em.
