Re: Marado Evolution I #350 reel
I have a couple of Marado reels, but not your model.
They were a Korean based company that went out of business a few years ago. They had a distribution location in Kent Washington at one time.
I bought two reels for about 20 bucks each from Ebay. They probably retailed for about twice that price.
The company had several models of baitcaster and spinning reels. Many of the baitcasters looked like knockoffs of the Shimano green curado reels and gold calcutta reels. Heck, even the name "Marado" is somewhat like "Curado"
My Marado reels are OK but not great. A lot of plastic and not the smoothness of the higher end reels. But for 20 bucks each, its about what I expected.
Your model, I believe, was one of their higher end reels (gold color with holes drilled into the frame to reduce weight, but also to look like the Calcutta). I think it retails for close to $100. If you google it or look on ebay, you can find similar or the same models and get an idea of what they are selling for. It might be built of better materials than my 20-dollar reels.
I probably would not buy another Marado, since the company is out of business there is no where to get replacement parts or repair service. All the Marados you will see on sale online are remaining stock.
